ingredients

  • 1 tsp yellow mustard seed, crushed
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1/2 cup shallot, minced
  • 2 tbsp Spanish paprika
  • 1 tbsp sea salt
  • 1 tsp brown mustard seed, crushed
  • 1 cup unsweetened catsup
  • 2 tbsp maple sugar
  • 1 tsp black mustard seed, crushed
  • 1/2 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp melted duck fat
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar

instructions

  1. Sauté onion and garlic in duck fat until soft but not browned
  2. Add everything but the catsup and bring to a simmer
  3. Add catsup for the last 15-30 minutes and simmer until thickened
